Program

We introduce a COOKING FESTIVAL at Iisaku Kihelkonna Museum

The cookbook has been a necessary and valued book for centuries. The young hostess has been inspired to learn how to cook for her husband, while the experienced hostess has been looking for new cake-making tips. Over the years, cookbooks for students, children and even bachelors have been published - recipes have been simple and clear, helping every chef make something delicious.

We will open an exhibition of old cookbooks, recipes and cooking tools.

At 19.00, food historian Ülle Jukk will give a lecture entitled "German Saxon foods - Baltic German foods on our menu".

Come and discover and remember how our ancestors cooked - and what we still put on the table today.

The café is open
The museum is open from 18.00-23.00.

The only work that is definitely nourishing is eating.
