18:00 – 21:00 CHILDREN’S WORKSHOPS
All children and young people are welcome to the workshops to make something truly old-fashioned:- Old-fashioned letter and seal workshop: We’ll write a letter or draw a picture with a quill or ink pen. Then we’ll fold the paper and seal it with really hot wax and a beautiful seal stamp!
- Making a fan: This is a beautiful and simple craft that children loved to make centuries ago. We will fold a beautiful fan out of paper.
- Making an Old-Fashioned Rag Doll: Before the days of plastic toys, dolls were made from scraps of fabric found at home. This is a completely needle-free workshop where we make our very own stuffed doll from fabric, cotton wool, and yarn.
