Program

The Studio Museum of Sculptor Amandus Adamson is dedicated to Amandus Adamson (1855-1929), the great master of Estonian sculpture, whose most famous work is the monument “Russalka” in Tallinn. The museum is located in Paldiski, in the sculptor’s unique summer studio.

Bus tour “Journey with Amandus”

The bus tour “Journey with Amandus” will take place in cooperation with Harjumaa Museum.

The combined programme dedicated to Amandus Adamson (1855-1929) includes a bus tour, Keila-Paldiski-Keila, during which you can visit both museums. During the bus trip, you can learn more about the life and work of Amandus Adamson. At the Studio Museum of Sculptor Amandus Adamson we will take a musical journey through the sculptor’s life, while at the Harjumaa Museum you can visit the Amandus Adamson anniversary exhibition “Amandus 170” and listen to old record players.

The bus tour is available with pre-registration. Joining the tour without pre-registration is possible only if there are still free places available on the bus. Click HERE to register. Please note that the tour will be in Estonian.

Musical journey with Amandus Adamson

Throughout the musical journey, the story of Amandus is intertwined with the sounds that accompanied the sculptor throughout his life. It included beautiful music from Tchaikovsky as well as the sounds of riots, as the life of the great artist and his family changed dramatically. The sounds and music are accompanied by interesting moments from the sculptor’s life. Live music will be performed by pianist Olga Smolyakova from the Lääne-Harju School of Music and Arts.
You can visit the permanent exhibition, the summer gallery and the museum garden of the Studio Museum during the musical journey.
You can take part in the musical journey during the bus tour at 18.15 or at 19.45.

Without pre-registration, you can only take part in the musical journey at 19.45 if there are places available. We kindly ask all participants to arrive at the museum 10 minutes before the start of the journey!

Accessibility information:

Paldiski can be conveniently reached by train from Tallinn. More information can be found on the Elron website. It’s a 10-minute walk from the train station to the museum.

If you are coming by car, we recommend parking at the Grossi store (Rae 26).

Unfortunately, the museum building is not wheelchair accessible. Wheelchair users can visit the museum garden.

Pre-registration is required for the Keila-Paldiski-Keila bus tour “Journey with Amandus”, which is part of the joint programme of the Harjumaa Museum and the The Studio Museum of Sculptor Amandus Adamson. You can register for the bus tour by clicking HERE.

Pre-registration is required to participate in the musical journey at the Studio Museum of Sculptor Amandus Adamson. You can register for the journey starting at 19.45 by clicking HERE. Places are limited!

The museum card is not valid on museum night. Free admission for visitors under 19 and others, as per usual.
