Program

The steamship icebreaker Suur Tõll stands at the quay of the Seaplane Harbour. The oldest and most precious museum ship in Estonia, it is one of only three early 20th-century steam icebreakers to survive in the Baltic.

On board the icebreaker, you will find a magnificent officers’ mess and the captain’s cabin, crew quarters, an exhibition on the icebreaker’s history, engine and boiler rooms, and much more.

The exhibition tells the story of the Great Barge through all the flags under which the icebreaker has ever sailed. The events on board are a reflection of Estonia and its pivotal moments in the last century. You can come and see this fascinating history for yourself on Museum Night!

Admission is one euro, children up to the age of 8 free.

Entrance to the museum ship on a first-come, first-served basis until 22.15.

Accessibility information:

Please note that the museum boat is not accessible to all visitors. The ship is navigated by stairs and narrow passageways, so it is not possible to visit with a pushchair or wheelchair, for example.
