Program
The Banned Books Museum collects and preserves banned, burned, and censored books from around the world. We tell the stories of censored authors, and research the history of literary restrictions. Our permanent exhibition contains over 400 items representing 100 countries, censored either in the past or still today for a wide variety of reasons.
For Museum Night the Banned Books Museum will be open specially until 23:00. Our team are entirely volunteers, and entry is free, so visitors are welcome to leave a donation to help us expand the collection and preserve more books.
