Estonian literary classic A. H. Tammsaare (1878-1940) is located in Kadriorg, in a historicist cottage-type house. The writer lived and died in this building between 1932 and 1940. The writer's widow, Käthe Hansen, wanted their home to be a museum one day. This dream has now come true, with the opening of the museum on the centenary of the writer's 30th birthday. 01. 1978.a.

On the second floor of the house is the writer's five-room apartment, furnished in its original style. It was here that Tammsaare wrote his works of the 1930s. The second wing of the museum houses an interactive exhibition on Tammsaare's life and legacy, as well as temporary exhibitions. An exhibition dedicated to the novel "Life and Love", "The Stylistics of Love", is currently open.
