MUSEUM NIGHT "THERE ARE BOOKS IN THE NIGHT"
This year, we celebrate 500 years since the first Estonian-language publication. This year, the Palamuse Museum is focusing on Oskar Luts' work "Spring" The book was first published in 1912 and immediately became very popular among young people. The work has been translated into 15 different languages. On the night of the museum, "Spring" will be read in Estonian and in all the 15 published languages. We have invited people whose mother tongue the book was published in or who have studied the language to come and read. For example, the Ukrainian-born musician and singer Ruslan Trochynskyi, who will later give a concert in the museum courtyard, will read an excerpt from "Spring" in Ukrainian.
