Mõniste Folk Museum is the oldest and southernmost open-air museum in Estonia.

Open on Museum Night 15:00- 23:00

This year's museum night "There are books in the night" coincides with the celebration of the 295th anniversary of education in the Mõniste region, and as part of the event, Mõniste Folk Museum will have an exhibition of various historical artefacts, photos and archive materials related to local school life.

There is also a map showing the hometowns of literary figures from the region.

In the occasion of the Book Year, the Mõniste Folk Museum's costume shop is also open to visitors, where everyone can, if they wish, dress up as a suitable book character and take a picture in front of the photo wall. The museum staff will also take part in the costume party.

Possibility to listen to audio guides in Võru, Estonian, English or Latvian. If you wish, a guide will accompany you.
