Although HAKI Gallery has closed its doors, its spirit remains strong and is ready to live on in a new form. Artist Ebrahim Bakhshayeshi has created a detailed miniature replica of the HAKI gallery space, which will serve as the foundation for opening Estonia’s first miniature museum. This is an innovative and experimental concept that creates a platform for small-footprint exhibitions, offering artists a completely new perspective for testing and piloting their ideas. Miniature exhibitions open up new possibilities for the audience as well, allowing the museum to be easily set up in various buildings, festivals, and even outdoor events. This invites the public to experience art in a completely different way.
The opening exhibition of the HAKI Gallery Museum was Edward von Lõngus’ “Pätsi mitu nägu”, which presented Lõngus’ iconic characters in a miniature format, giving them a new context and meaning.
As part of the Night of Museums, we present the MAIKRO exhibition “If you don’t get it, it’s art, if you do, it’s a poster”. The exhibition explores the boundaries of visual communication and artistic expression and the role of audience interpretation in art.
