Program

On the Museum Night, Saturday, 16 May from 18.00-23.00*, the permanent exhibition and the exhibition “Estonian lighthouses on postage stamps 1995-2025. 60 years of the Maritime Museum’s artist Roman Matkiewicz” will be open to visitors in Paksus Margareeta. The exhibition, which opened in February, brings together 39 Estonian lighthouses on postage stamps from 1995 onwards and features enlargements of the stamps as well as a selection of originals and philatelic material.

In addition, all visitors are welcome to the roof of the Fat Margaret to enjoy one of the most beautiful views of Tallinn Old Town. On the night of the museum, we will open the Reval Cafe rooftop café!

Permanent exhibition
A journey through the Estonian Maritime Museum’s exhibition at the Thick Margrethe Museum and Visitor Centre is a visit to Estonia as a maritime nation!
The story of Estonian seafaring unfolds before you, from the hitherto unexhibited medieval maritime trade to modern-day passenger shipping. Nearly 700 historical artefacts, the Maritime Museum’s rich collection of ship models and nearly 50 digital and hands-on solutions help tell the story.

Entrance (including to the Reval Cafe rooftop café) is one euro, children up to 8 years old (incl.) free.
