By public transport
Bus no 1 Viru keskus – Viimsi keskus
Take a bus at the Viru Keskus (Viru Centre) underground bus terminal. Get off at “Viimsi vallamaja” or “Mõispargi” stop and follow the signage. The entrance to the museum faces the street Aiandi Tee.
Bus No 49 Viimsi Centre – Airport
To come from Tallinn airport, take a bus at the airport (Lennujaam) towards Viimsi keskus. Get off at “Mõisapargi” (Manor Park) stop and follow the signage. The entrance to the museum faces the street Aiandi Tee.
Bus no 174 Tallinn – Viimsi – Haabneeme
Take a bus at the Balti Jaam train station (Baltic Station). Get off at “Viimsi mõis” (Viimsi Manor) stop which is just nearby the museum located in the Viimsi manor.
Bus no 114 Tallinn – Haabneeme – Rohuneeme
Take a bus at the Balti Jaam train station (Baltic Station). Get off at “Mõisapargi” (Manor Park) stop and follow the signage. The entrance to the museum faces the street Aiandi Tee.
By car
Drive to Viimsi and follow the signs. The main entrance of the museum faces Aiandi tee. In front of the museum, there’s a free parking lot for cars and buses.
Accessibility
- The whole area of the Estonian War Museum, including the Heavy Artillery Hall, Defence Forces Cemetery and the Museum of the Estonian Military Academy is wheelchair accessible.
- There is an accessible toilet in the main museum building.
- Well-behaved pets are welcome.

Open 18.00-23.00. Last admission 22.30
On the Museum Night, a reading corner is be set up in the Estonian War Museum, where you can get to acquaint yourself with Estonian war novels. The reading room of the War Museum Library is open. A selection of rare publications from our collection will also be on display. At the book fair, you can buy some of the now rare publications in the War Museum's stock.
There will be free guided tours of the War Museum's main building and the Heavy Artillery Hall, starting at 19 and 21.
Visit the Viimsi Open Air Museum on Museum Night! Between 19.00 and 22.30, a free bus departs from the War Museum every full hour and from the Viimsi Open Air Museum on every half hour. The first departure is at 19.00 from the EWM and the last one at 22.30 from the Open Air Museum.
