Film Museum permanent exhibition “Duubel One”

The first permanent exhibition of the Estonian History Museum’s Film Museum, “Duubel One”, opens the filmmaking process step by step and shares the background of filmmaking and filmmakers.

The exhibition will take you through the different stages of filmmaking, as if in a world behind the camera – exploring the role of the script, location, editing, light and sound in the making of a film. You can also listen to the stories of many filmmakers.

The journey then leads to the soundtrack, from there to the red carpet of the premiere and finally to the critics. On the world map, you can discover the links between Estonian film and the international scene.

The Illusion Space offers a larger-than-life experience with machines – a system where all the parts work together to make the picture move. 19. Inspired by the birth of cinema in the twentieth century, the installations invite visitors to explore with their own eyes and experiment with their own hands how a moving image is created.
