Program
From 19-23, the Sepa, Sassi-Jaani and Köstriaseme farms, the Härjapea farmhouse and outdoor café (cash payment is accepted here), the Kuie school, Lau village shop, Kolu tavern and the summer café at the net cages in the islands area will be open.
All farms will be closed for preparations from 18-19.
In books, we often encounter descriptions of situations that take us back in time. On Museum Night, we will help you to find matches for well-known literary classics at the Estonian Open Air Museum, and everyone can test their knowledge in a guessing game.
Estonian Folklore Council Youth groupperforms every full and half hour in the courtyard of Kutsari Farm. The first one starts at 19:30 and the last one at 22. The programme lasts 15 minutes. The Estonian Folklore Council Youth Chamber is made up of young people aged between 15 and 26 who are interested in heritage and want to discover, preserve and share Estonia's rich heritage. We carry out a variety of exciting projects and organise both joint and public events.
On a spring evening, two cosy outdoor cafés set the mood, and Kolu tavern offers a stronger body fix. There's something to suit every taste in Lau's village shop, which always has a wide selection.
The Estonian Open Air Museum is a visitor-friendly and environmentally friendly museum of rural architecture. We carefully preserve the cultural heritage entrusted to us for future generations and value the museum's beautiful and diverse natural environment. Through cultural traditions, we connect the past with the present and the future. Conventional farming is a source of inspiration for the circular economy.
