Program

On the Night of Voices, we listen to the story of the Cistercian monastery in Lihula.
Every year, museum visitors ask: where was the monastery here in Lihula?

This year’s museum night will feature a presentation on the history of Lihula by Haapsalu museum director and archaeologist Anton Pärn, who has been researching the history of medieval Lihula for decades.
He will take visitors on a journey to the former monastery, where the heart of the monastery – the medieval well – is still preserved.

Programme:

  • 18.00 – In Lihula Manor Hall: Anton Pärn, introduction to the history of Lihula Monastery.
  • 18.20 – guided tour of Lihula Monastery by Anton Pärn. Gathering in front of Lihula Manor

A new exhibition “Lihula Silver Masters” is open at the museum. The permanent exhibition has been renewed.
