Program
In the Haabjakoda (Dugout Boat House) you can learn about the building and use of expanded logboats in Soomaa region.
The Haabjakoda’s exhibition tells the story:
- on the role of the expanded dugout canoes in the cultural space of Soomaa,
- their õuse in the Pärnu river basin,
- and on the historic Pärnu-Peipsi-Istanbul waterway
- and the reasons why the Soomaa dugout boat culture has been inscribed on UNESCO’s World Heritage List.
After the visit to the Dugout Boat House, you can go on a boat trip on the Tori River for an extra fee.
