About the Museum
Nõmme Museum was opened on November 13 1935 in the Nõmme Music School building. It was closed 1940 but reopened in the historical Nõmme train station waiting area on February 28th 2002. The first and so far the only director of the museum was Piret Loide. Historical consultations were provided by historian Leho Lõhmus. The permanent exhibition shows the development of Nõmme as an independent town in 1926-1940 as well as earlier years when Nõmme was founded by Nikolai von Glehn at the end of the 19th Century.
Since 01.09.2024, the museum is open 4pm-8pm every Wednesday and 12pm-4pm every Sunday.
