Program

Guided tours take place at 17:00, 19:00 and 21:00. The tour lasts approximately 1.5 hours. Pre-booking is not necessary.

The tour of the weather station starts at the burrometer, where you will learn about the operation of this unique and highly accurate measuring instrument. The tour then moves to the observation field, where a comprehensive overview of the weather observations and the instruments used to make them is given, and how the climate has changed over the station’s 160-year measuring history is explained.

As the theme of this year’s Night of Museums is “There are voices in the night”, attention will also be paid to weather phenomena that are accompanied by sound. At the observation field, it is worth being particularly attentive and keeping your ears to the ground, because after the tour you can take part in a guessing game and identify sounds produced by weather phenomena or measuring devices.

The station also has a permanent exhibition of historical measuring instruments.
