Program

The work of weather radar will be presented at 17:00, 19:00 and 21:00. Pre-booking is not necessary.

The first weather radar was installed in Estonia as early as 1975. How radar measurements are taken, how the technology has evolved and what changes can be expected in the next few years will be discussed by radar specialists in a one-hour lecture. Afterwards, you can enjoy a beautiful view from the top of the tower.

On the way to the top, a picture gallery on the walls of the tower helps to lift your spirits.

This year’s theme of the Night of Museums, “There are voices in the night”, also fits in well with the radar tower, as you can hear the sounds of the radar at work from the top of the tower.

Accessibility information:

Parking in front of the tower and on the Veski Street. There is a lift in the tower to the balcony, but the balcony is narrow for wheelchairs. To get to the showroom, it is necessary to go down one floor of the stairs. There is a conventional toilet on the ground floor of the radar tower.
