Program

At this year’s Museum Night, the Estonian War Museum invites you to listen to the voices of history. What did General Johan Laidoner’s voice sound like, and what about President Konstantin Päts’s? What was it like to hear the famous radio station “Voice of America”? What sounds do different weapons make when fired? How do military commands sound? A sound hunting game at the Estonian War Museum offers the joy of discovery for young and old alike.

In the evening, after the sun has set, the park behind the War Museum at Viimsi Manor will welcome visitors to a talk about sounds inaudible to the human ear. Bat specialist Rauno Kalda will discuss these mysterious creatures that fly and feed using ultrasound.

We also invite you to visit our neighbor, the Viimsi Open Air Museum, on Museum Night. A free retro bus, driven by Ulaf the Forest Brother, will run between the two museums all evening.
